To help activate the student development community, Google created Google Developer Groups on Campus (GDGoC), a community of student developers on campuses around the world where they can organize activities and projects. Today, GDGoC is active on more than 2,100 campuses in over 100 countries. GDG on Campus GIST aims to develop the development community at GIST through development studies and projects, hackathons, open sessions, and more, as well as to explore the importance and use of technology through Solution Challenges held for GDSCs around the world. Students interested in the development community can learn and grow together regardless of major, class, age, or race.

*As of September 2024, Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) was renamed to Google Developer Groups on Campus (GDGoC).
